The amount of usage a particular mobile phone has will affect the call statistics received, but this is an important factor when assessing usage since most mobile phones will only make calls when they are requested by the user.

It should also be noted that in some places, it is illegal to make phone calls using cell phones, and those who do are subject to prosecution. In addition, the use of a mobile device while driving has become more restrictive, especially with the use of handheld GPS devices which are illegal in some areas.
